Granite:
Granite. Granite is an igneous rock composed
of mostly two minerals: quartz and feldspar. It is an intrusive rock, meaning
that it crystallized from magma that cooled far below the earth’s surface.
Hardness and longevity: Granite is comparatively harder and stronger
than marble. It is mostly known as the most durable natural stone and
compared to marble. It is resistant to heat and can easily withstand hot
cookware therefore it is perfect for kitchen tops.
Egyptian Granite have been used by the Ancient Egyptians in
all their temples and tools. Most of the current existing Pharaonic artifacts
are made from granite coming from south of Egypt “Aswan”, even the Great
Pyramids of Giza are built from granite blocks transported from Aswan.
